APPENDIX C:  PWHL OTTAWA PLAYOFF 50/50 RAFFLE DRAW DATES

Raffles for which Appendix C Applies:

The rules outlined in this section apply to the following raffles:

  1. PWHL Ottawa First Round Playoff 50/50
  2. PWHL Ottawa Final Round Playoff 50/50

PWHL Ottawa Playoff 50/50 Raffle Draw Dates:

For each of the aforementioned 50/50 raffles, the draw dates will be as follows:

Sales will close immediately after the final game of the respective playoff series, or after Game 4 of the series if PWHL Ottawa will be the away team in Game 5 of the series.

In a PWHL playoff series, teams will play up to 5 games. The playoff series finishes once either team has won 3 of the possible 5 games. Thus, a playoff series can end in fewer than 5 games in the event that either team wins 3 of 3 games, or 3 of 4 games.

The team that finishes higher in the standings between the two teams in a series will play at home for Game 1, Game 2 and a possible Game 5. Thus, if PWHL Ottawa are lower than the opposing team in the PWHL standings, Game 5 will be played as an away game, and sales will close after Game 4 (which is their final home game).

Below are all of the possible scenarios to help clarify the draw date:

PWHL Ottawa Plays a Team Above them in PWHL Standings

  • 3 Game Series: Winner drawn immediately after Game 3
  • 4 Game Series: Winner drawn immediately after Game 4
  • 5 Game Series: Winner drawn immediately after Game 4

Ottawa PHWL Play a Team Below them in PWHL Standings

  • 3 Game Series: Winner drawn immediately after Game 3.
  • 4 Game Series: Winner drawn immediately after Game 4.
  • 5 Game Series: Winner drawn immediately after Game 5.

The main prize for the REDBLACKS 10th Anniversary Bonus Draw will be 50% of the gross sales received for all tickets sold over the course of the raffle.

There will be additional Early Bird Prizes awarded over the course of the raffle. All early bird prizes will be outlined in Appendix B of the OSEG Foundation’s Electronic 50/50 Rules of Play. Only tickets purchased between the eligibility start date and time and the sales cut-off for each Early Bird Prize will be eligible to win the Early Bird Prize.
